WHAT’S ON OFFER? Dedicated to the history of Bremetenacum Veteranorum, the Roman name for what is now Ribchester.
The museum was built above the remains of the headquarters building of the Roman fort in 1914 and opened to the public the following year.
See artefacts and look around the fort remains with displays that delve into the prehistoric past, illustrated by wonderful objects including a well preserved Bronze Age sword and Iron Age carvings.
ADMISSION: Adults £3.00, OAPs £2.50, Children £1.50, Under 5’s free.
OPENING TIMES: Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm, Saturday and Sunday noon until 5pm.
