RISHTON United Under 13s kicked off the New Year in emphatic style with an impressive 6-0 win over local rivals Oswaldtwistle Rangers.
After six weeks without a match, Rishton proved they were far from rusty having trained the evening before the game.
In a cagey first half, Rishton finally broke the deadlock when Bradley Campbell beat the offside trap and cooly lifted the ball over the advancing keeper.
Rishton doubled their lead soon after when Adam Aspinall converted from the spot.
A crucial third was added just before the break when the impressive Campbell side footed home.
Ossie went on the attack after the break looking to get back in the game but the Rishton defence held firm.
And the came was finally put beyond their near neighbours when Dylan Cross rounded the keeper to score.
Mason Ralph capped a fine display with a 20 yard free kick before Campbell completed his hat-trick.
