ACCRINGTON Stanley picked up a point at Northampton Town on the opening day of the League Two season.
Stanley handed debuts to four new players - Sean Murdoch, Kern Miller, Kevin McIntyre and Kurtis Guthrie - and produced a solid display at Sixfields.
Charlie Barnett had a free kick tipped on to the bar and Guthrie saw a goal disallowed for offside.
Miller cleared Jake Robinson's shot off the line at the other end before half time, with Lewis Young - younger brother of England's Ashley Young - seeing an effort deflected inches wide after the interval.
