Lamine Kaba Sherif has become Stanley’s fifth summer signing, and second of the day, after arriving on a free transfer.
The midfielder has signed a two-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months, having left Premier League side Leicester City in the summer.
The 20-year-old saw his 10 year association with the Foxes come to an end this summer, and he joins the League One Reds after an initial trial spell.
He has been a regular for Leicester in Premier League 2 and has featured in seven Checkatrade Trophy games for the Foxes’ second string.
Kaba Sherif is the second signing of the day, after Joe Maguire arrived on a one-year deal. He is the second midfield addition of the summer after Joe Pritchard was brought in after leaving Bolton.
Stanley manager John Coleman said: “Lamine is an exciting prospect, he turned down a couple of offers from foreign clubs as he believes he can make his mark in England.
“It’s a good fit for both him and for Accrington Stanley.
“He is an all-action midfielder, we had a look at him on trial and decided quickly he is for us.”
