TOM Davies is hoping for the best of both worlds for Accrington Stanley on Saturday.
The Reds have only recorded one League Two win from six so far.
But a goalless draw against promotion favourites Portsmouth has given them confidence ahead of another long trip, to Bristol Rovers, this weekend.

John Coleman’s side have scored the fewest goals in the division, but equally boast one of the meanest defences with only four goals conceded to break even on goal difference.
Davies is confident in their forward line, and believes that when the front men find their scoring feet there will be no stopping them.
“We do like to keep a tight back four but we do know we can hurt people on the break especially,” said the central defender, who joined Stanley in the summer from Fleetwood.
“The firepower we’ve got is incredible and when the goals come we’ll knock teams for six. I’m not worried about that at all.
“It’s just getting that first one, getting that momentum and then we’ll be fine.”
He added: “We gave nothing away against a good Portsmouth side.
“We’ve got a good understanding, myself and Dean (Winnard) and the full backs, and the midfield work hard to help us out as well.
“As long as we can keep clean sheets the goals will come.
“There have been games like Saturday, like against Luton, where we could have nicked a goal. We’re very close.
“As long as we keep it tight at the back the likes of Josh (Windass), Crooksy (Matt Crooks), Terry (Gornell), Billy (Kee) – they’re going to score goals. They’ll flow and we’ll start shooting up the league.”
Davies said he was enjoying his responsibility and role in the side after establishing himself at the heart of the Stanley defence, alongside Dean Winnard.
“It’s been nice for me to play, first of all. It’s something I wasn’t used to last season and I feel like I’m doing all right,” said the 23-year-old.
“Dean helps me through massively, and then the older players you can bounce ideas off. It’s really helpful for a young lad like myself.”
