CHORLEY manager Tony Hesketh has called on his disheartened troops to “show some bottle” in tomorrow’s bottom-of-the-table showdown at Salford City.
The Magpies head to Greater Manchester on the back of six successive defeats, and just seven points ahead of rock-bottom Salford.
Hesketh admits his side’s poor form is a worry, but he believes there is enough quality at Victory Park to escape from any potential relegation trouble.
“We are at the wrong end of the table and it’s now a mental test for the lads,” said the Magpies boss.
“Tomorrow’s game will tell me a lot more about my players. They must show they have the character and, dare I say, the bottle, to get themselves out of this run of results.”
