Preston North End has announced that it is to cut all ticket prices by 2.5 percent in line with the Government's decision to slash VAT rates.
From Monday (December 1), the VAT rate will be cut from 17.5 percent to 15 percent.
And North End has said that it will also cut prices for match tickets, replica kit and half-season tickets by the same amount.
Chairman Derek Shaw said: "We understand that times are particularly hard in the current financial climate and that the festive period also puts a serious strain on the purse strings.
"We will do anything we can possibly can to help relieve the financial burden and make it easier for Preston North End fans to support their club."
The reductions will come into effect from Monday meaning that the first game that the prices are reduced will be the Doncaster Rovers fixture the following Tuesday (December 9).
