Clitheroe are chasing Chorley’s Ashley Parillon and Magpies boss Tony Hesketh has allowed his highly-rated midfielder to speak to the Blues.

But Hesketh is confident Parillon – who this season made his comeback from a bad knee injury – will stay with the Victory Park outfit.

“We don’t want Ashley to leave, he’s someone we rate highly,” said Hesketh, ahead of Chorley’s home fixture against Ossett Albion.

“He’s allowed to talk to Clitheroe, but he knows he is well looked after here.

“We helped nurse Ashley through his rehab after that injury, and he’s getting regular games.”
