CHORLEY expect to have a new centre forward in their line-up tomorrow as they host a Durham City side that have conceded only one league goal all season.
The Magpies have scored just twice in their last four games in the absence of key forward players.
That could mean a tight UniBond First Division North encounter, with Durham themselves only scoring eight goals in their seven league matches so far.
But Chorley hope to add a striker and a centre-back to their squad this week and midfielder Gavin-Lee Ellison is back with the club, although Michael West (flu) and Jordan Goodeve (foot) are doubts.
Manager Tony Hesketh, who saw his side lose 1-0 at Lancaster last weekend, said: “Goals have been a concern. They are hard to come by at the moment.
“It will be very tough against Durham because they’ve only conceded one goal in the league all season, but we’ll be trying and it should be a mouthwatering game.
“We were lacking in enthusiasm at Lancaster but I haven’t lost faith. Far from it.
“The players have natural enthusiasm. I don’t know where it went on Saturday but I fully expect it to be back tomorrow.”
