CHORLEY boss Tony Hesketh takes his side to the Giant Axe tomorrow insisting they are still full of momentum.

The Magpies are three games without a win in all competitions – and lost 2-1 in midweek to local rivals Bamber Bridge in the UniBond League Challenge Cup.

“We were unlucky against Bamber Bridge,” said Hesketh. “There’s no two ways about that.

“We passed the ball well and, another day, we’d have won.

“But we’re playing well and we’re going to Lancaster at the right time –we’ve got a bit of momentum going.

“We still need to pick up points to get up that table.

“I believes we can make the play-offs, but it’s going to take a bit of a push.”

Earlier this month, the Magpies beat Lancaster 2-0 in a league cup clash at Victory Park, when Ashley Parillon hit the scoresheet.

“Ashley is such a big influence for us at the moment,” added Hesketh.

“All our young players are getting vital experience in this league – they will only get better.”
