Preston North End defender Sean St. Ledger has signed a new four-year contract at the Club, a deal which will keep the player at Deepdale until the summer of 2012.
St. Ledger's previous contract was due to run out at the end of the current season, North End had an option for a further year in that contract but the Club and player have negotiated an entirely new deal which secures the defender's long term future at Deepdale.
The 23-year-old signed for the Lilywhites from Peterborough in the summer of 2006 and has been a virtual ever-present making close to 100 appearances in North End colours.
