The Force was with Rovers once again on Saturday.
Sam Allardyce's black and white Stormtroopers proved no match for Mark Hughes' Premiership Rebels with their Jedi-like abilities, who sent out a message to the rest of the footballing galaxy: We're back!
The headlines will deservedly be about David Bentley, following his two stunning strikes, the first, a fantastic free kick perhaps confirming that Bentley, once the Learner, is now the Master when it comes to set pieces and the England number 7 shirt.
Only time, and the next England manager, will tell.
But the real moment of true class in the game for me once again belonged to the Yoda-like Tugay, as the ancient, yet powerful wizard ghosted into an opposing team's 18 yard box for the first time in his career to sweetly bend the ball around the stranded Shay Given and give Rovers the certainty of victory, right in front of the ecstatic Blackburn End.
Lesser mortals would have lashed the ball in, or even over the goal, in a similar position, whereas our Turkish Delight opted for a sublime outside of the boot finish.
He has scored more spectacular goals, but this one in particular summed up everything about him in one beautiful moment. Use the Force indeed.
If only Tugay could return to Brockhall in a blue spirit form, a la Obi Wan Kenobi, once he retires, to pass on his advice and skills to the next generation of Rovers players when needed.
Either that or give him a coaching role!
Hopefully he will grace us with another season or two yet before that day comes.
Next up at Ewood for Rovers are West Ham, a side we will be looking for revenge over after last years incredible defeat, helped along by the Dark side of the Force in the form of a linesman and a goal that never was.
Will fallen Jedi Lucas Neill finally see the error of his ways?
All in all it has been another good weekend for the Rovers fans.
The defeat against Villa now seems like a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.
