CHORLEY will bid to wrestle their grip on top spot in the Evo-Stik Premier Division when they take on third placed Worksop Town at Victory Park tomorrow.
Skelmersdale are still breathing down the Magpies’ necks and will be expected to make the most of their home game with struggling Grantham Town.
Chorley will be feeling an element of pressure, particularly after going four games without a win, and suffering a narrow defeat at home to FC United of Manchester in front of their biggest crowd of the season in midweek.
But Garry Flitcroft’s side can take confidence from having already beaten Worksop 4-1 in their first meeting in October.
There is a battle at the bottom end of Evo-Stik First Division North, as 19th placed Padiham host 18th placed Prescot Cables, with both level on 28 points.
The Storks have suffered seven straight defeats since playing Prescot at the start of that miserable run in late December.
Padiham lost 3-0 in the reverse fixture, so will be keen to make amends and get out of their rut.
Prescot suffered a 3-0 defeat in their last game, against Ramsbottom, who will aim to boost their play-off hopes as they entertain Cammell Laird.
It is a revenge mission for the Rams as the Wirral club are the only team to beat them in their last 11 games.
Clitheroe entertain Burscough hoping to recover from their 3-0 defeat at Northwich Victoria last weekend.
The Blues have won only once this calendar year.
In the North West Counties League, Premier League strugglers Bacup and Rossendale Borough host Maine Road, Barnoldswick Town entertain Glossop North End, while Colne travel to leaders Runcorn Linnets.
In the First Division, leaders Nelson travel to struggling Eccleshall.
AFC Darwen are away to Cheadle Town.
