Chorley were frustrated by the weather after working their way into a winning position in their clash with Kendal at Windsor Park on Saturday.
They restricted the visitors to 171-9 with ex-Nelson pro Terry Hunte making 58.
Chorley professional Gaurav Dhar took 5-71 off 18 overs and Kieran McCullagh 3-20 including the prize wicket of New Zealand international Jamie How, caught by Jack Catterall for 14.
Chorley were 15 runs away from their target with five wickets in hand when rain washed out four crucial overs and they closed seven runs short of a victory on 165-6.
Skipper Andy Holdsworth made 44 off 84 balls, Jack Bentham 37 with pro Dhar 32 not out.
