Graeme Swann will be available as expected for England's opening World Cup match against Holland, after the birth of his son.
Off-spinner Swann remained in England when his team-mates flew to Bangladesh last weekend, so that he could attend the birth of his first child.
It was always anticipated he would miss England's two warm-up matches - the second is against Pakistan in Fatullah on Friday - but would arrive in time for Tuesday's Group B opener in Nagpur.
His wife Sarah gave birth to 8lb 9oz son Wilfred on Thursday, and Swann is therefore set to fly to India soon.
"This is an incredibly special day for us, and we are both absolutely delighted and very proud parents," he said.
"Both Sarah and Wilfred are doing very well, and I am looking forward to enjoying the next couple of days with them both before I fly out to join the team for the World Cup."
Thirty-one-year-old Swann was found not guilty of a drink-driving charge on Wednesday following a long-running court case.
