Opener Adrian Barath and wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh have been ruled out of the West Indies squad for the World Cup due to hamstring injuries.
West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) have named the uncapped Kirk Edwards and Devon Thomas as potential replacements for the duo pending an approval from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
"The West Indies Cricket Board confirms that Carlton Baugh and Adrian Barath have sustained hamstring injuries," a statement on the board's website read.
"Medical specialists have determined that in both cases the players will not be able to resume training for two to three weeks.
"The WICB, through the Team Manager, is therefore making an application to the ICC Technical Committee for Baugh and Barath to be replaced in the West Indies World Cup squad."
Barath and Baugh are the latest in a long list of injuries to hit the event - which starts on Satuday in Dhaka - after high-profile names such as England batsman Eoin Morgan, Australian duo Michael Hussey and Nathan Hauritz and India paceman Praveen Kumar were forced to pull out as well.
West Indies kick start their World Cup campaign on February 24 against South Africa in Delhi.
