Rossendale Harriers is booming as the club moves towards its 40th Anniversary in 2006.
The junior section is growing exponentially and the awards handed out at the recent Presentation Evening at Marl Pits reflected a vintage year.
Nearly two dozen Outstanding Achievement Awards were handed out to athletes who had made an impact at club, league, county and even national level.
Dale has a rich history in fell running and the new generation shone in this discipline with Katie Ireland winning the BOFRA under 17 Women's Championship and Phil Bolton being the travelling reserve for England at the Home International in Ireland after placing fourth under 16 boy in the English Junior Championship.
Phil was named the club's Athlete of the Year for the second year in succession.
