Finishers in Todmorden Harriers' festive road race were treated to a Hot Toddy afterwards in the White Hart Hotel.
The Hot Toddy 5.8-mile Road Race starts and finishes in the town centre, but in between follows a hilly town and country circuit.
Damien Nicholls from Wilmslow was the only athlete to break 30 minutes, and his 29:39 gave him a 33 second margin over Junior Fell international Jonathan Hare from Halifax.
A strong Rossendale Harriers turnout was headed by third placed Jon Ferguson, who returned 30:26, while in-form Blackburn Harrier Lee Passco took eighth in 31:36.
James Baldwin from the Clayton club was 27th of more than 300 finishers and Rossendale juniors Shane Russell and Phil Bolton placed 45th and 53rd.
Former Todmorden Harrier Sue Becconsall was an easy winner of the women's race, three minutes clear despite being an over 45 veteran.
Current Tod Harriers Christine Preston and Melanie Blackhurst were first and third in the over 40 class.
