PENDLE Forest Orienteers have announced the junior results for their Spring Series of events, which were held on five successive Saturdays in April and May.
Oskar Hatfield, from Christ the King School in Burnley, was the winning boy, with Laura Hindle, of Kettleshulme School, south Manchester, the top girl over the White' course.
The Yellow' winners were Matthew Buckley, of Christ the King, and Carolyn Hindle, of Kettleshulme, while Andrew Wilson, representing Bacup and Rawtenstall GS, and Sarah Thorne, from Blessed Trinity in Burnley, took the honours in the Orange' class.
In the Score Course', where the athletes have to score as many points as possible in a fixed time, Sam Lyons (Blessed Trinity) and Sophie Horrocks (Bacup and Rawtenstall) came out top.
Senior winners were Jim Mitchell (PFO) in the Orange' and Julian Donnelly (PFO) in the Score Course' and there was an award for Zara Preedy, who completed the White' with a bit of help from a parent!
