FOURTEEN East Lancastrians represented their county in the North West Regional Sportshall Finals, which were held in the Regional Athletics Arena at Sportcity, Manchester.
The contest was exclusively for the under 11s and Lancashire took four teams of 15 - two girls' and two boys'.
The boys' Blue Team returned the best result of the day, finishing third on 408 points behind joint winners St Helens and Wirral with 417.
Burnley's Billy Walker beat his own county record with 9.25m in the sitting ball throw.
The boys' Purple Team was seventh of eight teams.
Max Parkinson, William Moynihan and Haydon Moorcroft from Hyndburn Athletic Club and Pendle Athletic Club's Jake Broughton and James Wilkinson were in the Purple squad.
The girls' teams finished fifth and seventh as Cheshire ran out easy winners.
Westholme School, in Blackburn, fielded seven athletes with Katie Buckley, Ellie Butschok-Brain, Charlotte Flood, Sophie Taylor and Claudia Pearson representing the Blues, and Sarah Pope and Janie Mullin competing for the Purples.
Emma Hitchon of Pendle was a Blue.
