STEVE Kean insists his Blackburn Rovers side have to focus on the positives - despite admitting his side were off the pace again this evening.
The Rovers boss conceded his side were not at their best as they crashed 2-1 at home to Middlesbrough but reiterated his belief they would get promoted.
He said: "I felt they asked more of us than we did of them. Our performance was not great tonight but I would prefer to focus on the positives.
"If we continue with the points average we have got so far this season, we will get promoted and that is what we all want.
"Even though we did not play well tonight, if Scott Dann's header had gone in or we got the penalty we should have, we might even have got more than a draw."
