CLITHEROE canoe sprinter Jon Schofield and his crewmate Liam Heath have progressed to tomorrow's Olympic final in the K2 200m after finishing second in their semi-final this afternoon.
They clocked a time of 32.940 seconds, almost a full second behind the semi-final heat one winners Russia, and will now be among the favourites in the final that begins at about 10.40am tomorrow morning.
In the morning heat, Schofield and Heath came second behind Belarus, in a time of 33.364 seconds.
