BURNLEY’S Rachel Brown has been named in the Great Britain women’s football squad for the Olympics.
Brown, who has represented England since 1997, had been waiting for news on whether she would be selected and it has now been confirmed that she is in the 18-strong squad.
The 31-year-old is one of two goalkeepers in the squad alongside Karen Bardsley.
Brown tweeted: "Wow! To everyone who has been a part of my football career - thank you."
The squad is made up of 16 England internationals and two Scots.
