WHO? The 21-year-old from Burnley first played handball at Alder Grange High School and later joined Haslingden Handball Club. Capped 45 times by GB, since 2006 debut, and is the all-time second highest scorer.
IN THE GB TEAM? Lam-Moores is currently recovering from a leg injury and is a certainty for the Great Britain team.
MEDAL? The GB handball team will be the least experienced of the 16 teams competing. The aim will be to give a good account of themselves but, more importantly, raise the sport’s profile.
QUOTE: This is something I have worked towards for the past six years and I still can’t believe I could be going to the Olympics. It is the dream of any sportsman or woman. We are capable of beating teams ranked above us.
