ACCRINGTON Stanley have signed 19-year-old goalkeeper Lee Nicholls on a month's loan from Wigan Athletic.
The Liverpool-born shot stopper is yet to make his Latics first team debut, but has been around the first team squad during loan spells with Hartlepool, Shrewsbury Town and Sheffield Wednesday.
"I've had some good experiences but now I feel like the next step in my career is first team football and hopefully I can get it at Accrington," said Nicholls, who is eligible for tomorrow's game at Swindon Town.
"Lee is a very promising player," said Reds assistant manager Leam Richardson.
"He's an England Under 20 international and is well thought of and we think he can improve us."
Nicholls will take the squad number 22.
