BURNLEY have raised season ticket prices by around five per cent as they bid to cope with a significant reduction in their Premier League parachute payments next season.
The Clarets are offering a special price for those renewing their season tickets, compared to new purchases, but have opted to increase prices by around £20 because of a reduction in income for the 2012/13 campaign.
Burnley have received £16m in parachute payments in each of the two seasons following relegation from the Premier League, but that figure will be reduced to £8m for the next two campaigns.
The club held consultations with the Supporters’ Liaison Group before finalising prices and adult season tickets will cost between £299 and £449 for renewals, providing they are purchased before the early bird deadline of March 30.
Under 16s priced, however, have been frozen at between £80 and £105, while season tickets for under eights are again free in the Jimmy McIlroy Stand upper tier.
A new Jimmy’s Sports Bar hospitality deal has also been unveiled in the Jimmy McIlroy Stand for £708.
