STRIKERS Jay Rodriguez and Charlie Austin were on target as Burnley completed a convincing win over Barnsley at Turf Moor tonight.
The Clarets made a superb start on three minutes as Rodriguez bagged his sixth goal in seven games.
Rodriguez was in the right place to slide the ball into the net after Josh McQuoid had connected with Ross Wallace's cross.
The Burnley-born striker then volleyed another effort just wide as the Clarets cranked up the pressure.
In the second-half, Barnsley almost grabbed an equaliser when Craig Davies thundered a shot against the underside of the bar.
But Burnley wrapped up victory when Austin tapped home from close range, after Rodriguez had smacked the post.
