ACADEMY coach Terry McPhillips was pleased to see his Blackburn Rovers side progress in the FA Youth Cup, but felt his side could have played better.
An early sending off saw Stoke play the match with 10 men for 85 minutes and Rovers took full advantage with a 4-0 win.
“It was a result we certainly would have taken before the game,” said the Rovers coach.
“We scored some good goals, but we are after better quality, we want to be more consistent.”
Rovers will travel to either Newcastle or QPR in the last eight of the competition.
