ALEXIS Walker had a debut to remember after winning on her first appearance in the ring.
The Hakuda Gym Thai Boxing Club student was in impressive form in her points victory against Rachael Hughes from Premiere Thai Boxing on a show at Radcliffe Civic Hall.
Walker demonstrated her all-round skills with knees, kicks and boxing to over power Hughes and take the unanimous decision.
Super heavyweight Duncan Stewart (right) also enjoyed victory for the Burnley club – despite being in with a fighter more than 20kg heavier than him.
Stewart stopped his opponent in the third round after suffering an unfortunate broken arm from a clinical body kick.
And 16-year-old Ben Moore was up against the older and more experienced Steve Foy, 19, in a fight for the North West title.
But despite pushing Foy all the way, Moore narrowly lost out on points.
The club, which is run by Dave Burley and Craig McMillan, will have fighters in action again in the New Year, including a big show at the Trafford Centre.
The club is hoping to attract sponsors and anyone who would like to help can contact Dave Burley on 07947 744117.
