PAULA Walker and Kristan Bromley will be hoping for better fortunes when they continue their respective World Cup campaigns today.
Blackburn bobsleigh ace Walker and Bromley, the British number one skeleton bob from Waterfoot, will be in action on the Winterberg course in Germany.
It is the third of the eight race World Cup series which has so far seen the pair in action in Austria and France in the opening two meetings.
Walker – the reigning World junior bobsleigh champion and Great Britain number one driver – has had to settle for two tenth place finishes with brakesman, Rebekah Wilson.
The former St Bede’s pupil says she is happy with her form but admits the weather in Germany could cost her a top 10 place.
She said: “I’m happy in terms of my starts and driving but it seems other nations have had huge advancements with their kit and we have a lot more work to do.
“I think with weather conditions it will be hard to maintain a top 10 here.”
Bromley, 39, the first man to win the World Cup, World Championship and European Championship in the same year back in 2008, has yet to hit those heights.
He was fifth in Igls in Austria and then sixth in La Plagne in France.
