BLACKBURN ran in seven tries to bounce back from last weekend’s disappointing defeat in emphatic style.
Dino Radice’s side ran riot at Ramsgreave Drive against a battling Furness side to cement their top five place in the North Lancs/Cumbria Division.
Blackburn looked sharp from the start and scored their first try after just two minutes, Anton Garcia rounding off an excellent move with Max Fullalove kicking the conversion to make it 7-0. The home side crossed again in the 11th minute, Adam Morgan and John Beeston making the initial break and, following a couple of phases, the ball was passed along the line for Richard Maudsley to score in the corner.
Maudsley then showed his pace and power after racing on to a perfectly timed pass from Morgan, Fullalove adding the extras to make it 19-0.
A fourth try soon followed in the 20th minute, Danny Holland finishing off another well worked move.
Blackburn started the second half as they had done the first with another early try, Danny Holland wriggling through a number of tackles before passing to Tom Marland who kept low to cross to give the home side a commanding 29-0 lead.
Gracia score his second and Blackburn’s sixth after hitting the line at a great angle with Fullalove again slotting over the conversion.
Furness looked like they may get a consolation try but after a knock-on deep in Blackburn territory, sub winger Ben Hogan chased a long punt upfield, cleverly hacked the ball on and dropped on the ball to complete the scoring.
n Blackburn Thirds showed all of their battling qualities to earn a 7-7 draw at Fleetwood.
Burn went down 7-0 early on but hit back with a try from Chris Weeks which was converted by Nick Archer.
