ROSSENDALE Colts put in another good display of competent yet ruthless rugby saw to claim an excellent win.

Tyldesley had no answer to Dale’s fluid and powerful display – the centre pairing of Tom Bedlow and Jack Bibby, posing plenty of problems for opposition defences.

Both are in top form and both scored in the opening quarter. Fullback Jack Crowder fed off their dominance notching a try for himself in the right hand corner.

Fly half Will Sharratt converted all three to take his side into a 21-0 lead. There was no let up in Dale’s performance and they dominated possession.

Further tries came at regular intervals during the second half. The pick was winger Danny Schofield rounding off some excellent approach play by forwards and backs alike to go over in the corner. The next score saw prop forward Jordan Lord race half the length of the field to touch down.

Dale’s final try came straight of the training field when Bibby made the initial incision before cleverly linking up with Sharratt who raced clear to touch down and complete the win with a conversion.

What made this win even more encouraging was Dale were down to the bare bones as regards personnel. JR Maher moved up from the junior colts, and Ben Skelton found himself in unfamiliar surroundings of the forwards. Both put in admirable displays showing true character.
