ACCRINGTON Stanley will receive between £110,000 and £195,000 from Scunthorpe United for Jimmy Ryan, a tribunal has decided.

Ryan left Stanley for Scunthorpe in the summer when his Crown Ground contract expired, but the Reds were entitled to a fee under the terms of the Bosman ruling because he was under the age of 24.

A tribunal took place this morning and Stanley will receive £55,000 immediately and a guaranteed £27,500 on October 1 as well as £27,500 on January 1.

Scunthorpe will also pay a further £15,000 after every 15 appearances for the club, up to a maximum of £60,000 after 60 appearances.

Stanley will also collect another £25,000 if Scunthorpe are promoted to the Championship within the next two seasons.

In addition, the Reds will receive 20 per cent of any sell-on fee over and above what Scunthorpe pay Stanley.
