BARNOLDSWICK Town remain top of the North West Counties Premier Division after claiming their sixth win in seven league games this season.

Stewart Airdrie put Barlick ahead in only the third minute against bottom club AFC Liverpool, who have only one point so far this season, and Neil Chapman added a second goal four minutes before half time.

Shaun Chart pulled a goal back for the visitors three minutes after the interval but Spencer Jordan made it 3-1 in the 69th minute to leave Barlick on 18 points after seven games – two points clear of second-placed Winsford United.

Barnoldswick, who do not have a midweek game, next take to the field against Irlam on Saturday in the FA Vase first qualifying round.
