BLACKBURN Rovers midfielder Radosav Petrovic will hope to force his way into Serbia’s starting line-up tomorrow after featuring as a substitute in Friday’s qualifying win in Northern Ireland.

Rovers’ summer signing came on for the last 16 minutes as Serbia claimed a 1-0 win at Windsor Park to put themselves firmly in contention to reach the Euro 2012 play-offs.

Serbia are battling Slovenia for second place in Group C, behind runaway leaders Italy, and now host the Faroe Islands in the home ground of Petrovic’s old club Partizan Belgrade tomorrow night.

Marko Pantelic capitalised on Steven Davis’ poor backpass to score the only goal in Northern Ireland.

David Goodwillie and Grant Hanley will hope to feature in Scotland’s home game against Lithuania tomorrow after both missed out on the action in Saturday’s 2-2 draw against the Czech Republic at Hampden Park.

Goodwillie was an unused substitute, while Hanley was hit by illness ahead of the game but is hoping to be available for tomorrow’s game.

Simon Vukcevic showed some nice touches and a dangerous left foot in an appearance on the right flank for Montenegro on Friday, even though they lost 2-1 in Wales. Montenegro are not in competitive action this midweek.

Martin Olsson did not make the bench for Sweden’s 2-1 defeat in Hungary, with a famous Swedish rapper among those starting a Twitter campaign for the Rovers man to be recalled to the line-up.

Olsson will be eager for goals in tomorrow’s match in San Marino, who lost an incredible 11-0 to the Netherlands on Friday.

Morten Gamst Pedersen missed Norway’s 1-0 win over Iceland after picking up a hamstring injury against Everton last weekend.
