CHORLEY look to cement their third place in the Northern League tomorrow when they head to the Lake District tomorrow for their game at Netherfield.

Monday’s abandoned derby at Darwen saw their slim title hopes disappear – but a strong finish will see Andy Holdsworth’s men earn a place in next year’s Lancashire Cup 12 months after they finished bottom of the pile.

Darwen are at home to Preston, while St Annes can be crowned champions when they play host to Kendal.

They need just 12 points from their last two games to make sure of the title.
