MARK Bolton is ready to make Lowerhouse fight for the Lancashire League title – and doesn’t want to see championship celebrations on his own ground.

The East Lancashire skipper leads his men into Alexandra Meadows action with Lowerhouse tomorrow and is aware that if the House take maximum points and Accrington lose at Colne they will be champions.

But Bolton insists East Lancs will not roll over when Charlie Cottam’s men arrive in Blackburn.

“Lowerhouse are a very good side and have been all season,” he said.

“They are top and they are favourites to win it – and if they do they will deserve it.

“But they won’t be having an easy time of things. We don’t want to see them winning the league at our place and we will go out to beat them.”

The match also pits best friends and rival South African professionals Ockert Erasmus and Francois Haasb-roek, pictured, into battle and Bolton admits that will add extra spice to the game.

“Haasbroek has had a good season and Ockie has done well for us,” he said.

“They will not want to lose to each other and I want us to finish the season on a high.

“We have been disappointing for the most part of this year but we are showing a bit of form now and hopefully we can take that into tomorrow.”

Accrington are at full strength for their trip to face Colne at The Horsfield and can’t afford a slip, while Todmorden are at Rawten-stall and are ready to pounce if the top two crash.

Enfield play their first game since their tea room was wrecked by fire and they entertain Haslingden at Dill Hall Lane, while Church look to cement a top five place when they host Nelson.

Burnley entertain Bacup and Ramsbottom host Rishton, who field Clinton Perrin as sub-pro.
