TOM Bender is in contention to make his Accrington Stanley debut in tomorrow’s League Two fixture at Barnet.
Bender, who can play at centre back or left back, joined Stanley on a season-long loan from Colchester earlier this week.
The Wales under 21 international was recommended by Welsh youth supremo Brian Flynn.
And the 18-year-old was so keen to get his Stanley career started that he drove 200 miles from Essex immediately after finding out about the move on Sunday night, ensuring he was at the club for training on Monday morning.
