A SERIES of summer cricket camps start next Monday offering children between the ages of eight and 14 the chance to improve their skills.
The camps begin next Monday at Edenfield CC and continue with weeks at Bacup, Rawtenstall, Stacksteads and Haslingden over the course of the next six weeks.
For the eight to 14-year-olds for boys and girls cricket nets will be available and children will be split into ability groups with both hardball and softballs in use.
The camp for the older children runs from 9.30am to 3.30pm and a packed lunch is required with a chippy lunch provided for the children on the final day.
The camps will also have a five to seven-year-old section with cricket, fitness and fun and they will run from 9.30am until 11.30am.
Prices are £49 for the week for the eight to 14 section and £18 for the fives to sevens.
