Blackburn Rovers will make a decision today on whether their trip to India will go ahead tomorrow, after safety fears were raised in the wake of last week’s deadly bomb attacks in Mumbai.
Several Rovers players are understood to be concerned about the trip although it is expected to be given the go-ahead today after emergency talks were held with the foreign office.
Kean will hope to use the trip as a chance to discuss the current transfer policy confusion with the owners as he looks to add to his severely depleted squad.
Venky’s told Kean earlier this summer that Rovers would have a “very healthy transfer budget”, including the £16.5million received for the Phil Jones transfer, but their promises are yet to be fulfilled.
