JUNIOR Hoilett is expected to be fit to resume full training within the next couple of days after suffering an injury scare in Saturday's pre-season opener at Morecambe.
Blackburn Rovers Canadian starlet limped out of the 2-1 win against Accrington Stanley after just 32 minutes, after tweaking the same hamstring as he struggled with at the end of last season.
Hoilett's end to last campaign was plagued by a niggling hamstring problem and Rovers fans feared the worst when they saw him pull up early on Saturday.
Hoilett though insisted his withdrawal was just precautionary with boss Steve Kean also confident he will soon be back in full training.
Kean said: “The first game we are disappointed that Junior Hoilett has picked up a tweak in his hamstring but apart from that I thought the boys played well.
“Junior felt a little twinge in the same hamstring he damaged last season so we will get an MRI scan on that but Dave Fevre doesn't think it is a serious one.
“A couple of days and he should be back.
"He will be in for treatment and we are hoping he will back very quickly.”
