TRANSFER-listed Gifton Noel-Williams could still make a loan exit from Turf Moor - so long as the deal suits Burnley.

The big striker has attracted the attention of several suitors, but an agreement has yet to be struck, with his wages being the sticking point.

Asked if Noel-Williams will be allowed to leave the Clarets on loan, manager Steve Cotterill said: "That will depend on if it suits us now.

"We've got to make sure that if he goes out on loan, then we get someone in on loan.

"As it stands, that needs to suit us. There have been a couple of enquiries but they have not been substantial - offers towards wages - for that to happen.

"There's no point me having what they are offering because I couldn't get a player on the back of that.

"Gifton earns a certain wage with us.

"There's no point me being offered a third of that because what can I go and spend it on?"

Noel-Williams has come off the bench in Burnley's previous two Championship games against Wolves and Crystal Palace.

"He's worked very hard in training," said Cotterill.

"At the moment, when he does come on, I think there's probably a worry in him about making a mistake.

"What he could do with at the moment is a goal.

"He is just something different to what we've got."
