THE Lancashire Telegraph kept track of the list of players Burnley were linked with during the summer transfer window.

Clarets boss Eddie Howe was getting ready for his first full season in charge and was hoping to bring together a squad that could improve on last season's eighth-placed finish in the Championship.

Our Clarets reporter Suzanne Geldard separated the fact from the fiction daily in her reports for the newspaper and worked with her own sources to give you the inside track.

But as all fans like to speculate, we compiled a list of the players linked with moves in and out of the club by the various media outlets since the end of the 2010/11 campaign.

Just because a deal is on this list does not necessarily mean Burnley held an interest. In fact some of the links were denied by the club.
