LANCASHIRE League legend Keith Roscoe reached a milestone in Rawtenstall’s win over Nelson as he became a member of the 1,400 club.
The 49-year-old left-arm spinner claimed the 99th five-wicket haul of his career in the 15-run success and when he had Russ Bradley stumped by Vinny Hanson it was Roscoe’s 1,400 league wicket.
Roscoe claimed 198 wickets in five seasons at Bacup before moving down the Rossendale Valley to Rawtenstall in 1984.
He would have claimed more Lancashire League wickets had it not been for a five-year spell away from Rawtenstall when he was professional at Edenfield and for Sunderland.
