NELSON will travel to holders Ramsbottom on Friday night in the final of the Lancashire League Twenty20 after they thrashed Todmorden and Ramsbottom saw off Enfield.
Nelson reached the final after beating Todmorden by seven wickets at Seedhill with the Centre Vale outfit making just 101-6 and Richard Meade (2-22) and Sam Halstead (1-12) bowled well.
Nick Barker top scored with 28 for Tod - but they were lacking someone to kick on.
In reply, openers Russell Bradley (39) and Peter Dibb (17) but a Dibb and pro Luke Woodcock fell quickly and Bradley followed before skipper Tom Lord hit 15 not out to lead Nelson into the showpiece.
Ramsbottom reached their second successive final after beating Enfield by 16 runs at Acre Bottom. An opening stand of 117 between professional Shanan Stewart and David Bell helped Rammy to a formidable 160-5 with Stewart teeing off and clattering six sixes and four fours on his way to 67, while Bell hit five fours in his 50.
Saggi Hussain top scored with 47 in Enfield’s reply with Liam Jackson also making 26 - but it was a tall order and Adam Bracewell’s side fell short.
