Accrington Stanley players were put through their paces on their first day of pre-season training at Blackburn Rugby Union club yesterday.
Around half a dozen trialists were there, including centre backs Nik Kudiersky and Chris Lynch – released by Burnley.
From last season’s squad, Ian Craney, Andy Procter, Luke Joyce, Sean McConville, Charlie Barnett, Ian Dunbavin, Craig Lindfield, Sean Hessey, Leam Richardson, Peter Murphy and Alan Burton were present.
Dean Winnard, who has agreed a new two-year deal, is due to join in before the end of the week but it remains to be seen if Cisak or Gornell will return.
Stanley are understood to have turned down two bids, described as ‘derisory’, from Oldham for Cisak.
The keeper is out of contract but cannot leave for free because he is under 24.
Ray Putterill was absent after being told to improve his fitness.
