TALENTED pupils from across Hyndburn and the Ribble Valley have been taking part in an event held to highlight their skills.
The event, coordinated by Bowland High School school sports coordinator Tom Bamber, brought together nearly 50, year seven and eight pupils.
Held at Edisford Road Sports Centre, the Hyndburn and Ribble Valley’s School Sport Partnership’s Gifted and Talented programme aims to signpost talented children to quality local community sports clubs.
The youngsters took part in boys rugby, girls netball and mixed hockey.
The boys were treated to a rugby masterclass by Bob Wilkinson from Clitheroe Rugby Club while the girls were coach by Jane and Lynne Moodie from Ribble Valley Netball Club as the rain started to fall.
Clitheroe RGS finished the event as Talent Day champions.
