Blackburn Rovers Ladies have unveiled a new management team ahead of the 2011-12 season.
Scott Rogers and Nick Jackson-Cooney – former boss of non-league side Nelson – are confirmed as joint first team managers, with Nathan Rooney the new reserve team boss.
Rogers, 25, has run the reserves for the past four seasons, helping around a dozen players progress into the senior squad during that time.
He took temporary charge of first team affairs for the final two games of the 2010-11 season following Adam Lakeland’s resignation and is now looking forward to making his mark on a permanent basis.
“I am really excited about where we can take the team,” he said. “This is an opportunity to put our own stamp on things.
"The aim is not only to get promoted back into the National Premier League, but to be competing for honours at that level and ultimately in the Super League.”
