ACCRINGTON Stanley striker Andy Mangan is making a claim for a first team start, according to manager John Coleman.
The pacy front man has come off the bench in five of the Reds' six league games so far, playing the full second halves in the last two games against Rochdale and Lincoln City.
And after scoring in every reserve game this season, including a hat-trick in the opening 4-0 win over Chester City, Mangan is knocking on the first team door.
"The two halves he's produced in the last two weeks have been good," Coleman said.
"Maybe he needs to be a little bit stronger in the box and maybe his selection of shooting or passing needs to be a little bit sharper but he has pleased me with his appetite."
