Stephen Parry revived Lancashire’s hopes of a Friends Life t20 quarter-final place by claiming a competition-best four for 23 to set up a crushing 10-wicket win over Warwickshire at Edgbaston.
Parry found the slow pitch to his liking and helped dismiss Warwickshire for 109 – their lowest ever Twenty20 total.
Lancashire then romped home in a one-sided contest with openers Stephen Moore (52 not out) and Tom Smith (58 not out) seeing them home with more than seven overs to spare with an unbroken stand of 110.
Parry took a wicket in each of his four overs including trapping Darren Maddy leg before wicket before Rikki Clarke was bowled playing forward to a quicker ball, Jim Troughton was caught behind dabbing and Keith Barker was well held by Gary Keedy.
Sajid Mahmood took three for 13.
